St. Anthony's Church Machui Zanzibar

As many of you may know the old church was demolished a few years ago and a new church was planned. 

After working hard to raise funds by the Parish Priest a new church was built. 

Fr Alwyn got approval from the parish’s priest to raise funds to provide new pews for the church. 

We were able to raise $9,750 from 38 Goan families who have roots to the Island of Zanzibar. 

With the help of Bulu Martins we were able to donate 42 new pews. Bishop Augustine Shao of the diocese of Zanzibar was very pleased with the donation and thanked us . 

See the attached pictures and the video. Celebration of the feast day will take place on June 16 with a Mass and social in Machui, Zanzibar.
